Timothy John Doles, MD

President & Chairman

Tim Doles, MD, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, attended medical school at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the State University of New York. Dr. Doles joined Montgomery Anesthesia Associates in 2007. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors at Jackson Surgery Center, Chairman of the department and Chief of Staff at Jackson Hospital.

Dr. Juanita Pollard Edwards

Anesthesiologist

MAA welcomes back to her hometown of Montgomery. After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Edwards attended University of North Carolina for medical school and Anesthesiology residency. She completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at University Texas Heatlh Science Center. Her favorite pastime is watching college football. When she is not rooting for her beloved Crimson Tide, she enjoys spending time with her 3 children and 2 dogs.

Dr. Alfreda Miller-Coleman

Anesthesiologist

Dr. Miller-Coleman, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed anesthesiology residency training at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Dr. Miller-Coleman has over fifteen years of private practice experience and most recently practiced with Emory Specialty Associates and area surgical centers. Her interests include ambulatory anesthesia, patient safety, and quality improvement. Dr. Miller-Coleman joined MAA in 2024 after relocating to reside near family. She believes ” For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37.

Dr. Elizabeth Miller

Anesthesiologist

Elizabeth Miller has been in the medical field for over 35 years. She was an RN with a master’s degree before going to medical school to become an anesthesiologist. Dr. Miller is the Medical Director of VIP Surgery Center as well as the president of POA Anesthesia. After her service to the Lord, providing anesthesia is her greatest pleasure.

Kevin A. Pace, DO

Dr. Kevin Pace, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, received his undergraduate degree from UAB, and his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has been with Montgomery Anesthesia Associates since 2004. Dr. Pace enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with his wife and two children, and is an active member at First Baptist Church.

Gilbert Clinton, MD

Anesthesiologist

Dr. Gilbert Clinton, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, received his Undergraduate Degree at The University of Louisiana in 1990 with a Suma Cum Laude in Pre-Med Science. He received his Medical Degree at LSU in 1994 with a Cum Laude Distinction. He completed his Anesthesia Residency at UAMS, Little Rock Arkansas in 1998, with an Advanced Clinical Tract in Pain Management. He began working for Montgomery Anesthesia Associates in 2017. He enjoys time with his family and pets, bike riding, and other outdoor activities.

Samantha Linden, DO, MPH, MS

Dr. Samantha Linden, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, completed undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors at Auburn University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition Science and a Masters Degree in Biological Science. She attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, graduating Sigma Sigma Phi. There, she concurrently obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health, graduating with high honors. She completed her Anesthesiology Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She joined the MAA team in 2017. Currently, she serves as Co-Medical Director of Jackson Surgery Center. In her free time, she enjoys baking, flying airplanes with her husband, and playing baseball with her two sons.

Frances Boyette, MD

Founder, Retired January 2022

Frances Boyette, M.D., a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, has been with Montgomery Anesthesia Associates since July of 1993. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed her Anesthesia Residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital/Wake Forest University. She moved to Montgomery with her husband, Dr. David Kouri, who had an Air Force obligation at Maxwell Air Force Base. Montgomery became home for them both. Dr. Boyette is currently Co-Medical Director at Jackson Surgery Center, which she helped to launch in 2008. She also served as Chairwoman of the Department, at Jackson Hospital from 1994 – 2007 and was President of MAA 1993 – 2020.
